The “PECB Certificate Holder in ISO 9001 Foundation” certification demonstrates your fundamental knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS). This entry-level credential proves your ability to contribute effectively to QMS implementation projects.
Examination: The PECB ISO 9001 Foundation exam is 1 hour in duration. It covers two competency domains: fundamental concepts and principles of quality management based on ISO 9001, and ISO 9001 requirements for a quality management system (Clauses 4 to 10). The exam is closed-book.
Certification Requirements: To achieve the “PECB Certificate Holder in ISO 9001 Foundation” designation, you must successfully complete the PECB ISO 9001 Foundation training course and pass the associated exam. No professional or management system project experience is required. You must also sign the PECB Code of Ethics. In case of exam failure, you are eligible for a free retake within 12 months.
Validity: PECB certifications are valid for three years. To maintain your certification, you must adhere to the PECB Certification Rules and Policies, including maintaining an annual maintenance fee and fulfilling Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
