Training venue

Mombasa offers a range of hotels from international-standard beach resorts in Nyali and Diani to business-class properties on Mombasa Island, many of which have conference and training facilities. Delegates should confirm venue AV equipment and room layout in advance, as standards vary.

Getting there

No direct flights were confirmed from Côte d’Ivoire to Mombasa. The available carrier pages indicate connecting itineraries from Abidjan to Mombasa via Nairobi on Kenya Airways or via Addis Ababa on Ethiopian Airlines, with arrival at Moi International Airport (MBA) and typical total journey time around 9–12 hours depending on connection.

Visa

Côte d'Ivoire passport holders are exempt from Kenya's eTA and may enter for up to 60 days under Kenya's 2025 exemption rules; for a 5-day training course in Mombasa, no visa or eTA is required. The official Kenya eTA site lists Côte d'Ivoire among the exempt nationalities and requires a passport valid for at least 6 months, but the exemption means that pre-travel authorization is not needed for this trip.

Safety

Mombasa is generally welcoming to visitors, but delegates should use licensed taxis or rideshare apps rather than informal transport, especially after dark. Keep valuables discreet, stay aware in crowded market areas, and carry a copy of your passport rather than the original.
