ISO/IEC 27400 Lead Manager Training

Connected devices are transforming every industry, but each new IoT deployment introduces attack vectors that traditional cybersecurity frameworks never anticipated. ISO/IEC 27400:2022 provides guidelines on risks, principles and controls for security and privacy of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. The guidelines are intended to supplement existing security frameworks like ISO/IEC 27001 by introducing IoT-specific risks and controls. Organizations need professionals who can navigate device lifecycle security, implement privacy-by-design controls, and manage the complex stakeholder ecosystem spanning IoT service providers, developers, and users. This intensive 5-day certification course transforms your understanding of IoT security principles into practical implementation expertise, covering asset management for connected devices, incident response for IoT-specific threats, and continuous monitoring of distributed IoT environments. You will master the ISO/IEC 27400 framework through hands-on exercises that produce real audit plans, risk treatment strategies, and compliance documentation, positioning you to lead IoT security initiatives and earn your PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27400 Lead Manager credential that proves your competence to employers and clients in this rapidly expanding field.

ISO/IEC 27400 Lead Manager Overview

Organizations deploying IoT solutions face a fundamental challenge: traditional information security approaches cannot address the unique risks of connected devices, edge computing, and distributed data processing. You need expertise in IoT lifecycle security management, device authentication protocols, privacy impact assessments for sensor data, incident response for compromised endpoints, and stakeholder coordination across complex IoT ecosystems. These capabilities require deep knowledge of ISO/IEC 27400 controls and practical experience applying them to real-world IoT deployments.

This course bridges the gap between IoT security theory and implementation practice. You will learn to conduct IoT-specific risk assessments using threat modeling for connected devices, implement security controls for IoT service providers and developers, design privacy-by-design architectures that protect personal data throughout the device lifecycle, establish monitoring systems for distributed IoT environments, manage incident response for compromised devices and data breaches, and develop continuous improvement processes for evolving IoT threats. The curriculum combines conceptual learning with hands-on workshops where you will create IoT security policies, design device authentication frameworks, and build incident response playbooks.

This is practical, certification-focused training designed for professionals who must deliver IoT security results under real-world constraints: limited budgets, legacy system integration challenges, regulatory compliance pressures, and rapidly evolving threat landscapes. You will leave with immediately applicable tools and the confidence to lead IoT security initiatives that protect organizational assets and user privacy.
