CMMC Certified Professional Overview
Organizations seeking CMMC certification need professionals who can translate the model's 17 domains and multi-level practice requirements into actionable implementation roadmaps. The challenge isn't just understanding NIST SP 800-171 controls — it's knowing how to scope CMMC boundaries, identify CUI flows, prepare for C3PAO assessments, and maintain compliance with the CMMC Code of Professional Conduct. You need capabilities spanning: CMMC level determination based on contract requirements, CUI identification and protection strategies, practice implementation across all 17 domains, assessment readiness evaluation, and stakeholder communication throughout the CMMC ecosystem.
This PECB-accredited course delivers practical CMMC expertise through real-world scenarios, implementation workshops, and assessment simulations. You'll learn to analyze CMMC source documents including the Assessment Guide and Scoping Guide, map NIST SP 800-171 controls to CMMC practices, conduct high-level scoping for Organizations Seeking Certification (OSC), prepare assessment documentation, and navigate ethical considerations under the Code of Professional Conduct. The curriculum covers what you will learn: differentiating CMMC levels and their practice requirements, interpreting FCI versus CUI protection obligations, implementing Level 1 and Level 2 practices, understanding the CMMC Assessment Process (CAP), and positioning organizations for successful certification.
Designed for professionals operating under real constraints — tight contract deadlines, evolving DoD requirements, limited cybersecurity resources — this course emphasizes practical application over theoretical knowledge. You'll work through actual CMMC implementation scenarios, practice scoping exercises using the CMMC Assessment Scope documentation, and prepare for the rigorous Cyber AB certification exam that validates your readiness to support CMMC initiatives.
