Market-specific guidance for Thailand

A country-aware view of the pressures, proof points, and practical tools that shape how this course applies locally.

Why this course matters in Thailand

Strategic context for the risks, opportunities, and capability gaps this training addresses locally.

Workforce planning and development matters in Thailand because organisations need to shift from reactive hiring to skills-based planning as business models, automation, and talent expectations change. HR, finance, operations, and line leaders all need a shared view of which roles to build, buy, borrow, or redesign so headcount decisions support growth rather than simply fill vacancies. The course helps leaders decide where to invest in upskilling, succession, and workforce redesign instead of absorbing avoidable labour-cost and capability risk. It is especially relevant for firms trying to improve agility while managing labour shortages, retention pressure, and changing skill requirements.

Skills-first planning is becoming more valuable

Thailand-based employers can use workforce planning to move beyond degree-based or vacancy-led hiring and focus on the skills they actually need, which improves internal mobility and reduces the risk of mis-hiring.

Automation makes role redesign a management task

Managers need a structured way to identify which roles should be automated, which should be augmented, and which need reskilling, rather than treating technology adoption as only an IT issue.

Succession and retention are linked

In Thai organisations, workforce planning is not only about filling immediate gaps; it also supports retention, leadership continuity, and replacement planning for critical roles.

This training is timely because Thai organisations are under increasing pressure to align talent capability with business strategy rather than rely on short-term recruiting. It is most urgent where digitalisation, productivity targets, and labour-market tightening make skill gaps operationally expensive.

Training venue

Getting there

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (ABV) is the main gateway, located approximately 20 km west of the city centre with both international and domestic terminals. Pre-arranged hotel transfers or reputable ride-hailing apps are recommended for ground transport into the Wuse/Maitama business districts.

Visa

Nigeria replaced its Visa-on-Arrival system with a fully electronic e-Visa effective 1 May 2025. Delegates must apply and receive approval via the Nigeria Immigration Service e-Visa portal before travel; ECOWAS nationals remain visa-free for up to 90 days. Apply at least one week before departure — approvals typically take 24–48 hours.

Safety

Abuja is generally safer than Lagos but delegates should use registered taxis or ride-hailing services, avoid displaying valuables, and stay in well-known business districts after dark. Keep copies of travel documents separate from originals and monitor local advisories.
