Istanbul Airport Air Traffic Control Tower Structural Analysis 2016AECOM
The 90-meter tall tulip-inspired tower required complex seismic and wind load analysis. Engineers used ETABS to model the intricate geometry and ensure the structure could withstand the high wind loads and seismic activity characteristic of the Marmara region.
The project successfully met the stringent safety requirements of the Turkish Building Earthquake Code (TBDY) and won the 2016 International Architecture Award.
